Boil Water Notice Rescinded
The City of Merritt is pleased to announce that the Boil Water advisory has been lifted.
Interior Health confirmed today (Wednesday, December 8th) that the drinking water was of sufficient quality to be drunk without further processing at home.
While there remain some homes who do not have municipal water or sewer available.
For those who are connected to the municipal system, Public Works crews advise:
- Remove aerators from taps
- Change any water filters under sinks or attached to refrigerators
- Run the cold tap for 2 minutes to flush the lines.
Once this has been done, there are no concerns with water from the municipal supply.
