Printed copies of the bulletins are available at the Merritt Resiliency Centre and on the buses providing transportation to Kelowna and Kamloops.
ARE YOU STILL DISPLACED FROM YOUR MERRITT HOME?
As a result of the November Coldwater River flooding event, many members of our community remain displaced from their homes, and some are still displaced from Merritt.
It is important that we make contact with them, so we can help them return home.
If you are, or know someone who remains displaced from their home and/or from Merritt, please call 1-877-655-0341 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, 7 days a week.
Please provide the operator with your best contact information so that our Recovery Team can provide you with the most up-to-date information.
BUS SERVICE: KAMLOOPS MERRITT KELOWNA
Did you know that there is daily round-trip bus service available to and from Merritt, from Kamloops and Kelowna, every day of the week?
Kelowna: Pick up at 09:00 am at the Ramada and the Coast Capri
parking lots, arriving at Merritt City Centre. Returning at 3:30 pm to the Coast Capri Hotel
Kamloops: Arrives at the Merritt City Centre, Pick ups:
8:30 am: Doubletree Hotel (339 St Paul Street)
8:50 am: Best Western Plus (660 Columbia Street West)
9:10 am: Coast Hotel (1250 Rogers Way)
Returning to Kamloops at 3:30 pm dropping passengers at their original pick up location.
INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We know that many people are waiting to hear back from their home insurer. Regardless of the current status with your insurer, we strongly recommend applying for Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) from the Province. Deadline for DFA application is February 12th.
A representative from Emergency Management BC is available at the Resiliency Centre in Merritt to help you complete the application and to answer any of your questions. You can also visit: www.gov.bc.ca/disasterfinancialassistance

CLEANING SUPPLIES
If your home was impacted by the flooding and you are in need of additional cleaning supplies, we have
some available, at no cost, at the Merritt Resiliency Centre between 9 am and 4 pm.
